FAQ

What are the benefits of getting organized?
Less stress, more time, increased profits, flexibility, ability to focus, being prepared and having a plan of action. Because you can find things when you want them.  When you are organized you have a sense of freedom to focus clearer on what it is that you want to accomplish and your chances of getting there are statistically greater if you have a plan.

Will you make me get rid of my stuff?
Don't worry. my role as an organizer, is to help you look at your things with fresh eyes.  To evaluate your needs, goals and desires to then see if your belongs are now still consistent with your intentions for the future.   It's ultimately your choice whether you keep things or not.

Will I have to pre-organize first?
No you don't have to "get things together before our appointment. I'm used to seeing disorganization. It actually allows me to develop better systems specifically for your needs if I see how you normally deal with everyday occurrences. Please don't be concerned; I'm here to help you, not to judge you.

How long does it take to get organized?
I wish I had a magic organizing measuring wand to make it all go away instantly, but the reality is that it take time. I usually starting with physical organization of a room and evaluating what to keep and what to let go of.  Then move on to the details of systems, functions and the mode of operation. Four hours is usually long enough to put a dent in a project.  From there I can give a better estimate of what the project entails.  Overall my job is to make the whole process as speedy and as painless as possible. I'm always delighted when I hear a client say at the end of a session: "I can't believe how much we achieved today."

How do I stop the disorganization from building up again?
Being organized is an ongoing task. I will help design systems that manage the flow of your difficult areas.  Like with anything else in life it take practice and is a process of developing new skills.  The payoff is huge, reduced stress, free time, effiency and financial gains.  In addition, many clients set up quarterly, and year-end appointments to review systems, make changes etc.  Life changes and so do your organizational needs, but with an effective system in place it is simple to make the adjustments and you'll never have that overwhelming feeling again.
